TL;DR: This message can be forwarded to the Anti-Cheat team because enough information is provided for them to reconstruct the situation. Hello, I will care to explain the whole situation and the background beforehand. I've been playing PUBG since August 2017. Somewhere along the path, maybe starting in September or November I began to experience the BattlEye info messages that some file has been blocked. It tells you that "Note: File blocks can be ignored if they don't cause problems with the game. ". It appears file blocks can not only be ignored, but can get yourself banned too! Most notably, the files I do remember (I will attach them below to the ticket): D:/ZipGame/Programs/youtube-dl/ffmpeg.exe D:/ZipGame/Programs/vYouOpen/vYouOpen.au3 or the compiled variant: D:/ZipGame/Programs/vYouOpen/vYouOpen.exe uxtheme.dll (Windows UX Theme) BW_1.0_x64.exe Today, upon launching the game it closed itself (as usual) - I hadn't even joined the main menu - and showed me the info message because I left "BW_1.0_x64.exe" running in the background. I then closed the tool and restarted the game, but now as it turns out I was auto-banned. I am confident this is a false-positive triggered by an old heuristic that is now strictly enforced to automatically ban. I will now explain one by one what each of those files are, including full system paths and hash signatures so the Anti-Cheat Team can sort this out. All files will be attached too: - ffmpeg.exe | D:/ZipGame/Programs/youtube-dl/ffmpeg.exe | (md5, sha1, sha256 signatures below) FFMpeg is a popular command-line tool from the Linux world. I use version "ffmpeg version N-75504-gaa6c43f" downloaded from https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ (Win64 static) - it was blocked once and prevented me from playing until I renamed the folder. I use it in conjunction with vYouOpen to download and open Youtube videos. I believe it has not triggered the autoban. - vYouOpen.au3 | D:/ZipGame/Programs/vYouOpen/vYouOpen.au3 - vYouOpen.exe | D:/ZipGame/Programs/vYouOpen/vYouOpen.exe It is a script I wrote for my personal usage to open previously downloaded Youtube videos from the Explorer Context Menu. It must be compiled in order to be linked in the File Context Menu. Source code included. I believe it was compiled using AutoITv3 version ~v3.3.14.2. While the Anti-Cheat was very aggresive about the file (it was not even running, just sitting around on the HDD) I don't think it has caused the autoban. - uxtheme.dll | C:/Windows/System32/uxtheme.dll - uxtheme.dll | C:/Windows/SysWOW64/uxtheme.dll I am not even sure what this is, but it is a part of Windows. That's bizarre when your anti-cheat "blocks" a file that belongs to Windows. However, it has not caused any issues, I do not think this triggered autoban. - BW_1.0_x64.exe | C:/Users/VADemon/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Startup/BW_1.0_x64.exe That's the culprit, I believe. Ever since you have enforced the anti-cheat 2-3 months ago BattlEye would not let me launch the game at all, showing that this file was blocked. The game would simply close before entering the main menu. What is "BW_1.0_x64.exe"? This is my personal BorderlessWindowed tool I have written for myself using AutoIT. Initially it was going to be used for Minecraft, because it doesn't feature a Borderless Fullscreen. Since then I've used it for some other games, but NOT in PUBG. Why? Because my graphics card, GTX 570, is too slow to even run the game smoothly in Fullscreen let alone the additional overhead of Borderless Fullscreen. I have uploaded this tool to the Feed The Beast Forums back in 2013: https://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/tool-borderless-windowed-v1-1-a-better-fullscreen.34938/ I will add the original archive from the forum post to the attachments: "BorderlessWindow.zip" - it includes the source code for the tool, both 32bit & 64bit binaries. You can check it for yourself, I've been using the "BW_1.0_x64.exe" binary and the hash values are identical to the one in the archive. Now, to prevent any misunderstanding: I made "BW_1.0_x64.exe" using AutoITv3 scripting language that is infamously popular for making 3rd party scripts including, but not limited to games. However, as you can see from reading the included source code, this tool has a legitimate use, it is not a script that would automate any part of the game or otherwise give me any advantage. Moreover, I did not have a possibility to use this with PUBG since it was permanently blocked and didn't even let me to start the game while it was open in the background. Every time I was forced to close it in order to play. I hope this is enough information to clear up any misunderstandings. If you need even more information, I will be happy to cooperate, VADemon. Since it's literally just 4 lines I don't have the source code anymore but I will upload it for analysis (germanletters.exe) Original Path: C:/Users/VADemon/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Startup/germanletters.exe Signatures for germanletters.exe: MD5: f60efffe05dbe1b96d65bc99316b1f4e SHA1: 53bbd07d4fc939b5b2f04a7aee80e1875f0b93fe SHA256: ac2384368481a4994177f4df546e4bb15e4bf6d526090c305133d8b56de84bfe
